AAH, Asian American History, is a new class to be offered in the fall of 2023 at Madison College. This is very exciting as there has never been a class dedicated to the history of Asian Americans offered at MATC.  The instructor wanted to promote this new class with a poster featuring prominent Asian American figures.
For the illustrations and collage, I masked and arranged the images in Procreate. After the images were arranged, I illustrated additional leaves and lines to accent the rest of the work.
The flowers I used included in the collage are chrysanthemums and peonies. These flowers are associated with wealth, prosperity, happiness and strength in Chinese and many other Asian cultures.
I sourced images of the historical figures from Google images and the Zinn Education Project website. For the flowers, I sourced them from Pexels.
